Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Josiah Mudzuri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timo Kahuna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Josiah Mudzuri! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Timo Kahuna! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Winston Alpacca and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kahuna misses with an uppercut. Kahuna's coach down at Elite Training Facility was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kahuna's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Kahuna lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Kahuna swings for the body but Mudzuri moves out of range.
Kahuna throws out a loose jab but Mudzuri uses good head movement to avoid it. Kahuna avoids the body shot from Mudzuri.
Kahuna throws a big shot that misses. Mudzuri throws a body punch but Kahuna moves out of range. Mudzuri displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kahuna throws out the jab. Kahuna displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mudzuri. Kahuna throws a hook but Mudzuri avoids it easily. Kahuna throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Mudzuri sees it coming and avoids it easily. Kahuna scores with a body shot.

Mudzuri thows a body shot but no joy. Kahuna gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kahuna throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mudzuri. Kahuna misses with a right hand and Mudzuri counters with a shoot takedown. Kahuna fights it but they end up in guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Mudzuri stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kahuna swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mudzuri is working hard here to advance position. Mudzuri trying to control but Kahuna is working from the bottom. Mudzuri slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mudzuri wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kahuna keeps working. Mudzuri wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kahuna, who protects the arm well. Mudzuri definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kahuna tries to escape but Mudzuri is in control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mudzuri wants to control but Kahuna is keeping him busy. Mudzuri prevents Kahuna from escaping the position. Mudzuri tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mudzuri has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Mudzuri thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Kahuna really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mudzuri. That's four minutes gone in the round. Mudzuri advances to full mount. Mudzuri jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Kahuna is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Kahuna and Mudzuri has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mudzuri prevents Kahuna from escaping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josiah Mudzuri dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Left hook, right uppercut from Kahuna. Mudzuri avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Kahuna misses with a straight right. Kahuna stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kahuna wants it to stay on the feet. A swing and a miss from Kahuna. Mudzuri misses with an uppercut. Kahuna's corner calls for a 1-2. Kahuna obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Kahuna throws an ugly left hook that misses

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mudzuri wants to control from the top but Kahuna keeps moving. Mudzuri slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Kahuna is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mudzuri tries to free his leg and advance position but Kahuna is retaining full guard. Mudzuri won't allow Kahuna to get back to his feet. Mudzuri stops Kahuna from getting back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mudzuri is pressing down on Kahuna's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kahuna is holding on for now. Mudzuri wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kahuna keeps working. Mudzuri is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Josiah Mudzuri overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Mudzuri controlling the pace for now. Kahuna wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mudzuri fails to take his opponent's back. Mudzuri looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Mudzuri wants to control the pace but Kahuna is squirming around nicely. Mudzuri moves to take his opponent's back. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kahuna defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josiah Mudzuri dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Timo Kahuna seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kahuna jabbing away but nothing is landing. Kahuna loads up on a big right hand but Mudzuri slips the punch. Kahuna throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Mudzuri bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Mudzuri ducks under a wild hook from Kahuna. Nice defenses there by Mudzuri. Kahuna takes a shot right to the bread basket. Kahuna throws a looping overhand right but Mudzuri ducks down to avoid it. Kahuna throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kahuna getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Kahuna scores with a jab. Mudzuri acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Kahuna missing with a left hand there. Mudzuri was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Kahuna misses with a left hand and Mudzuri counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kahuna won't be happy with that. Mudzuri is looking to take a break and control but Kahuna is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Mudzuri tries to move to mount but Kahuna blocks the move with his legs. Mudzuri wants to control for a moment but Kahuna uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Timo Kahuna has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Mudzuri tries to pass to full mount but Kahuna defends it. Mudzuri is trying to control. Kahuna wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Mudzuri is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Kahuna is trying to stand back up but Mudzuri is controlling him
Kahuna is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
That's three minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Mudzuri tries to pass the half guard into mount. Kahuna knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Mudzuri is trying for a kimura here. Kahuna looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Mudzuri wins by kimura!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:33 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Josiah Mudzuri! Josiah Mudzuri very nearly forgot to thank Atlantis amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
