Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between King Hector (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Smith's choice of entrance music: You're Going Down by Sick Puppies. Jay Smith will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Smith misses.
Hector misses with a takedown attempt - Smith sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Hector closes this distance looking for a takedown but Smith circles away.
Hector fails to land with a series of punches.
Hector keeps the fight on the outside.
Hector fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for King Hector. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Smith is looking to clinch.
Smith stuffs the takedown attempt from Hector. Hector gets slowly back to his feet.
Hector shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Smith as he jumps to the side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hector tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Smith counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Smith tries to clinch up but Hector circles away and keeps his distance.

and Smith counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Smith.
Smith breaks the clinch.

and Smith holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Smith goes for a takedown attempt but Hector pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Hector looks to clinch
and Smith counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Smith is looking to stand up but Hector won't let him.
Smith stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hector swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hector working for submissions but it's allowed Smith to get to half guard.
Hector is breathing heavily.
Smith seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Smith trying to control from Hector's half guard. Hector has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smith wants to stand but Hector is controlling his posture from full guard.
Hector looking for a sweep. Not yet Hector, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Smith decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Hector, up you get!
Hector misses with a takedown
and Hector takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Smith connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Hector! He's out on his feet! Smith rushes in and drops Hector with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
