Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carl Harper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Carson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harper comes to the cage accompanied by Day-O. Carson has chosen strke back as his entrance music. Carl Harper has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carl Harper! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joe Carson! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harper will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Carson wants to clinch and Harper counters with a three punch combo that has Carson backing up. Carson nods at Harper to acknowledge the strikes. Harper tries to close the distance and clinch but Carson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Carson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Carson throws a head kick but Harper moves out of range.
Carson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Harper closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Harper really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Carson jumps guard but Harper stands there with Carson around his waist. Carson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Carson tightens his grip and picks Harper up, before dumping him to the ground. Harper manages to land in guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Carson throws a big right hand that misses. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Carson has eaten all the pies! Carson throwing strikes from guard but Harper blocks nicely. Harper manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Carson manages to get himself to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Carson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Harper's guard. Carson postures up in Harper's guard and throws a big left but Harper blocks it. Carson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Carson trying to control the position from guard on top but Harper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Carson with a flurry of punches that miss. Carson throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Carson distracts Harper with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Harper avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Carson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Carson throws a big right hand that misses. Harper will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carson wants to control from the top but Harper keeps moving. Carson is in close to Harper's body, working some short punches and elbows. Carson trying to control but Harper is working from the bottom. Carson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Harper's head.

Harper utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Carson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Carson scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Carson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Carson trying to control but Harper is working from the bottom. Harper tries to land a sweep but no joy. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Carson wants to control from the top but Harper keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Carson dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Harper tries to clinch but Carson is having none of it. Carson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Carson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Harper avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Carson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Carson chips away with some ground and pound. Carson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Harper keeping moving, preventing Carson from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Carson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Carson trying to control but Harper is working from the bottom. Carson throws a strike but Harper rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Carson is looking to stand up but Harper isn't so interested in that idea. Carson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Harper! Carson lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Harper is in all sorts of trouble here.

Joe Carson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

The fighters roll with the hold and Harper manages to kick Carson off! Carson jumps back into Harper's guard. Carson trying to control but Harper is working from the bottom. Carson is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Carson trying to control the position from guard on top but Harper is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Carson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Carl Harper has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Joe Carson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Harper has momentary wrist control but Carson slips an elbow through the middle.
And that's the end of the fight! Joe Carson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Carson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
