Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Rekis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rekis comes to the cage accompanied by AC/DC - Thunderstruck. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Daniel Tyler! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Michael Johnstone and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyler throws a head kick but Rekis moves out of range.

Daniel Tyler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tyler connects with a leg kick. Rekis looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Rekis has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Tyler misses with a two punch combination.
Tyler tries to bum rush Rekis with a series of wild strikes but Rekis uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Tyler throws a sloppy head kick and Rekis moves out of range easily. Tyler swinging wildly here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rekis shoots in and gets a takedown into Tyler's guard. Rekis drops back looking for a leg! Tyler is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tyler manages to kick Rekis off! Rekis jumps back into Tyler's guard. Tyler escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rekis gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Rekis is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Rekis controlling from the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rekis scoring with some ground and pound. Tyler can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Rekis controls the pace. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rekis is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Rekis working some strikes from top position. Rekis postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Rekis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Rekis scoring with punches to the head and body. Rekis controls from within his opponent's guard. Rekis is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Rekis landing some decent shots from guard. Rekis working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Tyler's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rekis is stalling in the full guard. Rekis landing some decent shots from guard. Rekis distracts Tyler with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Rekis lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Rekis keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Tyler's head.
Tyler is rocked! Rekis controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Rekis working some strikes from top position. Tyler is still in real trouble! Can Rekis finish him? This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rekis is in close to Tyler's body, working some short punches and elbows. Tyler has momentary wrist control but Rekis slips an elbow through the middle. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rekis working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tyler trying to control the position.
Tyler working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rekis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rekis manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Tyler looks winded! Rekis postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Rekis working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Rekis slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Rekis working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Rekis landing some decent shots from guard. Rekis chips away with some ground and pound. Rekis stays in close to Tyler's body and controls the position. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Rekis connects with a couple of short punches. Rekis lands a couple of elbows. Rekis stands up over Tyler, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Rekis works over Tyler with some ground and pound from guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Rekis dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Rekis lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Rekis not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Rekis's corner. There ya go! There ya go! This has been an exciting period of action! Rekis gets to his feet and stands over Tyler, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Tyler felt that one! Rekis unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Tyler from any more punishment!
