Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kirk Karwoski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arstan Selmy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Selmy has chosen DMX - X Gon Give It To Ya as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kirk Karwoski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Arstan Selmy! The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Sergei Dronov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slow jab from Karwoski misses its intended target. Selmy fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Karwoski manages to avoid it. Selmy looks for a takedown but Karwoski sprawls well. Selmy fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Selmy shoots in but no luck this time. Kirk Karwoski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arstan Selmy. Karwoski leaves Selmy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Selmy closes this distance looking for a takedown but Karwoski circles away. Karwoski definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. A cross from Karwoski lands. Selmy tries to score a power double leg takedown but Karwoski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Selmy somewhat. Karwoski with a body punch. A glancing blow. Karwoski lands with a thumping leg kick.
Selmy fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Selmy misses with a straight right.
That's one minute gone in the round. A telegraphed right hand from Selmy misses the target. A decent looking cross lands there for Karwoski.
It looks like Arstan Selmy has been cut. Selmy throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Karwoski tries to clinch up. Selmy tries for a takedown but Karwoski sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Selmy shoots in but no luck this time. Selmy blocks a head kick by Karwoski.
Karwoski fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Selmy manages to avoid it. Karwoski scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Karwoski thuds his right hand into Selmy's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Selmy looks to land a combination but Karwoski avoids it well. Karwoski scores with a hook. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nice cross by Karwoski. Karwoski stuffs the takedown attempt from Selmy. Selmy gets slowly back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Selmy takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Selmy gets the takedown into side control. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. You can see the frustration on Karwoski's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Selmy creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Karwoski sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Karwoski regains half guard, as Selmy was trying to land strikes. Karwoski tries to get to full guard but Selmy has control of the leg.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Karwoski is trying to control but can't.
Selmy looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Karwoski with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Selmy takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Karwoski keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Karwoski regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Selmy. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Selmy working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Karwoski preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Selmy pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Karwoski is keeping the position for now. Selmy cracks Karwoski with a solid left hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Selmy looking to sit in guard and control but Karwoski gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Karwoski working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Selmy is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Selmy pulls Karwoski in close to his closed guard and prevents Karwoski from doing any damage or advancing position. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Karwoski trying to control the position from guard on top but Selmy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kirk Karwoski will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Arstan Selmy's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Selmy takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Selmy misses with a body shot.
Karwoski moves into range and connects with a jab. Kirk Karwoski is winning the standup battle so far. Karwoski misses the shot to the body. Karwoski is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Karwoski connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Selmy throws a hook but Karwoski blocks it. Selmy shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Selmy was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Selmy lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Karwoski down.
Selmy throws an elbow but Karwoski slips to the side and avoids it well. Karwoski is looking for a sweep. Selmy lands a few punches from side control. Selmy fails to land a wild elbow strike.
That's one minute gone in the round. Selmy is putting a hurting on Karwoski here, landing some big shots from side control. Selmy misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Karwoski parries the strikes from Selmy easily there. Selmy is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Karwoski to escape.
Karwoski is looking to reverse the position. Arstan Selmy has got the better of the ground game so far. Selmy trying to control the action but Karwoski is working from the bottom. The strikes coming from Selmy are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Selmy throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Karwoski works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Karwoski makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Karwoski. Karwoski will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Karwoski utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Selmy wants to control from the top but Karwoski keeps moving. Selmy working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Karwoski controlling the position. Karwoski trying to control the position.
Karwoski wants to improve his position but instead Selmy has moved into half guard.

Karwoski manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Selmy manages to get himself to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Selmy pulls Karwoski in close to prevent any damage. Selmy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Karwoski's guard. Selmy lands a couple of decent looking shots. Karwoski controls Selmy momentarily but Selmy frees himself. Karwoski has control of Selmy's left arm, preventing Selmy from doing any damage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Arstan Selmy will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Arstan Selmy's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
A head kick misses from Karwoski. Karwoski thuds his right hand into Selmy's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Karwoski throws a front kick aimed at Selmy's knee but Selmy avoids it well. Karwoski scores with a shot to the body.
A big right from Selmy misses. Karwoski thuds his shin into the meat of Selmy's side. Karwoski slips a straight right by Selmy. Selmy misses with a looping left. Selmy throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Selmy on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Karwoski pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Karwoski tests Selmy's chin there with a solid looking shot. Selmy checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Selmy looks to throw the jab but Karwoski is out of range. Selmy on the wrong end of a nice hook. Selmy throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Karwoski sees it coming and avoids it easily. Selmy is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Selmy with a jab. Karwoski defending well as Selmy loads up on a big left hand. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Karwoski.
An inside leg kick lands from Karwoski. Kirk Karwoski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Selmy takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Karwoski turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Karwoski closes the distance and clinches. Karwoski lands a body punch. Selmy takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Karwoski lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
That has opened up Arstan Selmy's cut even more. Karwoski lands with a left to the head. Karwoski lands a hook that snaps the head of Selmy backwards. Selmy takes an elbow to the temple. Karwoski doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Karwoski lands an elbow inside that Selmy shrugs off.
The cut above Arstan Selmy's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Selmy is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Selmy throws an elbow that misses.
Karwoski lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Arstan Selmy's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Arstan Selmy's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Kirk Karwoski! During a confident post fight interview, Kirk Karwoski thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
