Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Chabala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Colt Compton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 1, fighting out of New York, Matt Chabala! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Colt Compton! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Compton throws a leg kick but Chabala checks it. No luck with that takedown attempt from Chabala. Chabala throws a leg kick but Compton sees it coming and checks it nicely. Matt Chabala seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chabala scores with the left hand. Compton knows he should have avoided that one. A slapping leg kick lands for Compton.
Chabala looking to score a takedown here. Compton is defending well but Chabala drives through and ends up in Compton's guard. Chabala is looking to work some ground and pound but Compton has wrist control. Chabala postures up and lands a big shot to Compton's brow. Chabala postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Chabala throws a strike but Compton rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Compton being controlled here momentarily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Compton wants to control from the top but Chabala keeps moving. Compton tries to stand but Chabala is controlling from the bottom. Chabala not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Compton trying to stand up but can't free himself from Chabala's guard. Compton got a little sloppy there for a moment and Chabala has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Compton has managed to get both his arms back between Chabala's legs - danger averted.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chabala looking for a sweep. Not yet Chabala, not yet. Chabala is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Chabala pulls Compton in close to prevent any damage.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Compton scores with a hook to the body. Chabala takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Colt Compton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Chabala scores with the left hand. Compton knows he should have avoided that one. Compton throws a nice inside leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chabala checks the leg kick. Good work by Chabala as he checks the leg kick. Compton thows a leg kick but Chabala checks it and Chabala counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Chabala missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Chabala throwing shots but Compton is blocking nicely. Compton avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Chabala. Chabala wants to lay and pray for a moment but Compton keeps working. Chabala thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Compton's head. Chabala winds up and cracks Compton with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Chabala looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Compton keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Compton pushes Chabala off looking to stand but Chabala dives back in and keeps control.
Chabala tries to pass the half guard into mount. Compton knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Chabala dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Compton's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Compton duly obliges.
It looks like Matt Chabala has been cut. Some bone on bone action there as Chabala checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Colt Compton is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Compton wants to clinch. Chabala takes a swing at Compton's ribcage but misses. Chabala is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Compton throws a head kick that misses. Compton avoids a kick to the body.
Compton tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Chabala manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Chabala is looking to slow Compton down with leg kicks. Chabala keeps Compton at a distance using the push kick. Compton throws a low kick but it's checked well by Chabala. Compton tried to score with a low kick but Chabala checks it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Compton throws a leg kick that is checked and Chabala counters with a nice double leg into guard. Chabala slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chabala trying to control but Compton is working from the bottom. Chabala throwing strikes but missing. Chabala in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Chabala lands a couple of decent looking shots. Chabala postures up in Compton's guard and throws a big left but Compton blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chabala content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Chabala throws an elbow that misses. Compton uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Chabala's guard. Nice move by Compton! Chabala looking to control.
Chabala is adopting a defensive guard. Chabala controls Compton momentarily but Compton frees himself. Chabala has his foot on Compton's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Compton works his way back into a safe position though. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chabala looking to control.
Chabala has an active guard here but Compton has managed to pass into half guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Compton controlling the action here. Chabala is trying to control but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Compton tries to stand but can't do so whilst Chabala controls his leg. Compton is thwarting Chabala's attempts to control the position.
Matt Chabala has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. A head kick by Chabala misses and Compton counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Chabala swings for the body but Compton moves out of range.
Compton takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Compton takes a swing at Chabala's ribcage but misses. Chabala lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Chabala fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Compton. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Compton pushes Chabala up against the ropes in a clinch. Compton breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Compton throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Compton wants to land a leg kick but Chabala is out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Chabala dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Matt Chabala's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Chabala throws a hook but Compton blocks it. Chabala throws a big shot that misses. Compton misses with a low kick. A head kick misses from Compton. A head kick misses from Chabala. Compton pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Compton throws a lazy head kick and Chabala decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Compton's guard. Chabala postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Compton is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Chabala, into his guard. Compton trying to stand up but can't free himself from Chabala's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chabala wants to sweep here but Compton controlling him for the moment. Chabala looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Chabala working for submissions but it's allowed Compton to get to half guard.
Chabala is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Compton looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Chabala wants to improve his position but Compton is controlling well.
Chabala wants to control but Compton is keeping busy.
Compton seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Colt Compton has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chabala is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Compton jumps into side control! Chabala wants to control but Compton postures up. Chabala trying his best to control but Compton has mounted him. Chabala wants to control but Compton is having none of it. Chabala is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Compton is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Chabala is trying desperately to improve position. Compton controlling the position easily from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Compton trying to control but he's not successful this time. Chabala tries to hold on but Compton postures up. Compton manages to capitalize on a mistake by Chabala to take his back!
And that's the end of the fight! Matt Chabala showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Chabala, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
