Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Klinkhammer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wes Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

14 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Roberto Klinkhammer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wes Walker! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Klinkhammer defending well as Walker loads up on a big left hand. Walker swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Walker pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Klinkhammer tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Walker paws at him with a jab and circles away. Walker throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Walker swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Klinkhammer tries to bum rush Walker with a series of wild strikes but Walker uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Klinkhammer lands a jab to the nose. Walker jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Walker will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Walker throws an overhand right that lands on Klinkhammer's shoulder, as Klinkhammer tries to avoid the shot. Klinkhammer scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Klinkhammer seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Klinkhammer jabbing away but nothing is landing. Klinkhammer misses with a straight right. Walker leaves Klinkhammer with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Klinkhammer throws a hook but Walker blocks it. Walker's coach down at Camelot's Court was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Walker's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Walker misses with a wild body shot. Walker lands a nice shot to the body.

Klinkhammer shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Walker eats them both and turns towards Klinkhammer to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Walker connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Klinkhammer tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Walker defends well and Klinkhammer ends up having to push Walker into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Walker scores with a hook to the body. Walker tries a body shot but Klinkhammer blocks it.

Wes Walker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Klinkhammer rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Walker counters with a nice kick to the body. Klinkhammer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Walker as he jumps to the side. Klinkhammer misses with a body shot.
Klinkhammer takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Walker swings for the body but Klinkhammer moves out of range.

Klinkhammer uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Walker. Klinkhammer slips under a jab. Walker takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Walker takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. A looping hook to the body misses from Walker. Klinkhammer does a little dance to reset his feet. Klinkhammer tries to bum rush Walker with a series of wild strikes but Walker uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Walker throws a body punch but Klinkhammer moves out of range. Klinkhammer misses with an uppercut. Walker looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Walker has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Klinkhammer is proving hard to escape from. Walker pushing down on Klinkhammer's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Walker decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Klinkhammer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Walker circles away quickly and effectively. Walker connects with a single shot there. Klinkhammer throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Wes Walker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Klinkhammer swings widly with a right hand
and Walker counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Walker is looking to score with low kicks. Klinkhammer gets caught flat footed, as Walker shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Walker wants to get up but he can't break Klinkhammer's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Klinkhammer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Klinkhammer looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Walker trying to control but Klinkhammer is working from the bottom. Walker gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. A left lands for Klinkhammer. Klinkhammer misses with a few strikes there.

Klinkhammer dives in for a single leg takedown but Walker sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. A head punch blocked on the inside by Walker. Klinkhammer blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Klinkhammer keeping moving, preventing Walker from controlling successfully. Klinkhammer tries to land a sweep but no joy. Walker would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Klinkhammer is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Walker is aware though and is defending well. Walker is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
