Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bunny Anstey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Rojo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anstey comes to the cage accompanied by Friends in lower places. Rojo has chosen You're Going Down as his entrance music. Bunny Anstey had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Bunny Anstey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Miguel Rojo!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rojo throws a right and a left that Anstey avoids nicely.
Rojo thows a body shot but no joy.
Rojo throws a sloppy head kick and Anstey moves out of range easily.
Rojo misses with the combination.

Anstey decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Anstey in particular looking to stall.
Anstey seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Rojo for as long as he can get away with.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Bunny Anstey.
Rojo throws a push kick but Anstey slaps the foot to one side.
Anstey uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rojo.

Rojo throws a head kick but Anstey moves out of range.

Rojo wants to get back to his feet but Anstey is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Rojo throws his legs up looking for a submission but Anstey uses it to pass to side control.

Anstey cracks Rojo with a big right hand but Rojo just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The referee asks Anstey politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Anstey prefers to stall for the moment though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Anstey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Anstey has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Anstey cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rojo tries to lock up and control but Anstey gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Anstey has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Rojo's face.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Anstey shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rojo napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Anstey keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rojo's head.

We're going to have a standup here because Bunny Anstey wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Nice takedown defense from Rojo. No joy for Anstey on that attempt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Anstey thows a huge punch but Rojo dodges it nicely.

Anstey is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rojo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Anstey.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
