The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrushka throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Franks avoids a punch combination nicely.
Franks takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Petrushka lunges at Franks with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Franks's hand.
It looks like Isreal Franks has been cut.
Petrushka drops Franks with a nice combination! Petrushka dives into Franks's guard, looking to finish!
Franks is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Petrushka passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
Oh Franks is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Petrushka stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Franks to get to his feet.
Petrushka gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Petrushka breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Franks tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Petrushka counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Franks badly! Petrushka follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Franks out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Petrushka finished him against the cage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Andrey Petrushka!
