Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Binzo Binzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Binzo comes to the cage accompanied by Hair of the Dog by Nazareth. Johnson has chosen Alvarez as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Binzo Binzo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Binzo tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Johnson was well out of range. Poor timing from Binzo.
Johnson jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Johnson throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Johnson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Binzo manages to avoid it.

Binzo misses with a takedown attempt - Johnson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Johnson shoots in looking for a takedown. Binzo tries to sprawl out of it but Johnson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Binzo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

We've been informed that Johnson has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Johnson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Binzo has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Binzo and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Binzo has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Demon's Progym, LOP in the buildup to the fight.
Johnson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Johnson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Johnson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Binzo has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Johnny Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

so Binzo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Binzo wants to control from the top but Johnson keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Binzo defends well.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
