Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinton Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Calavar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Liddell's entrance music is DMX - Its dark and hell is hot. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Quinton Liddell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Calavar! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Calavar on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Liddell darts in and clinches Calavar up against the cage. Calavar wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Liddell has him pressed against the cage. Calavar wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Calavar is looking to break free of the clinch but Liddell has double underhooks. Liddell jumps guard and drags Calavar to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Calavar wanted to stand there but Liddell had control of the position. Liddell looking for a guillotine here but Calavar defends easily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Calavar tries to stand but Liddell is controlling from the bottom. Liddell wants to get back to his feet but Calavar is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Liddell looking for a sweep. Not yet Liddell, not yet. Calavar tries to stand but Liddell is controlling from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Liddell is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Liddell lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Calavar!
That's one minute gone in the round. Calavar is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Liddell looking for a guillotine from mount but Calavar is having none of it. Liddell has control of Calavar's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Calavar regains control of the situation pretty easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Liddell is looking to control Calavar but Calavar is wriggling around and keeping busy. Calavar holding both Liddell 's hands and preventing any damage. Calavar looks gassed! Liddell is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Calavar is defending well though. Liddell let's go of the attempt for now. Calavar is trying to get back to his feet but Liddell has full control of the position and if anything, Calavar has just worked his way into a worse spot. Calavar showing good submission defense here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Calavar has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. Liddell is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Calavar defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Liddell struggling to keep hold of the position.
Calavar is trying to stand back up. Calavar is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Liddell working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Calavar is doing well to defend. Liddell seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Calavar is forced to tap and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Quinton Liddell!
