Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jonathan Berg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Douglas Adams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Douglas Adams has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jonathan Berg! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Douglas Adams! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, William Gold and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Berg showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Adams.
Berg slips a jab and a cross from Adams.
Adams jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Berg dives in for a single leg takedown but Adams sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Adams swings wildly with an uppercut but Berg uses good head movement to avoid it. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Adams. Berg goes for a takedown attempt but Adams pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Adams lands with an uppercut that bounces Berg off the cage and back into range. Adams throws a nice looking combination but Berg bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Adams missing with a left hand there. Berg was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Adams misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Berg.
Berg moves into the clinch successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Adams is pressed up against the cage. Berg has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Adams down to the mat. Adams avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jonathan Berg. That's going to take a lot out of him. Adams moves out of range of the body kick. Berg tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Adams swivels and escapes. Adams moves into range and connects with a jab. Adams misses with a looping right. Adams dips to his left and cracks Berg with an uppercut! Berg wants to clinch and Adams counters by clinching up. Adams lands with a short head shot on the inside. Adams goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Adams prevents Berg from breaking the clinch. Berg tries for a takedown. No joy.
Berg jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Adams walks away with a smile on his face. Berg gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Adams has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Berg is landing a low percentage of strikes. Adams rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Berg moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Berg scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Berg takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Adams is looking to escape. Berg content to control rather than advance. Berg decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Adams throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Berg stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Adams misses with a looping right. Berg wants to clinch. Adams missing with a left hand there. Berg was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Adams misses with a hook. Berg shoots in looking for a takedown but Adams manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Berg's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Adams connects with a looping right hand.

Adams waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Berg. Adams ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Berg moves away. Adams lands a nice shot that snaps Berg's head back.

Berg uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Adams.
Berg misses with a body kick. Berg's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Adams connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Berg scrambles back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Berg connects with a crisp jab. Berg fails with an attempt to clinch.
Adams throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Berg dives in and scores a takedown into Adams's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Adams is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Berg is stalling in the full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Berg won't allow Adams to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Douglas Adams will probably get the nod. That's time! Berg's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Berg closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Adams did well to prevent Berg getting side control. Berg is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Berg is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Adams doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Berg. Adams tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Berg manages to move to mount!
Adams is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round. Adams's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Berg wants to finish this one by submission but Adams is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Berg. Jonathan Berg overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Berg looking to control and managing it successfully. Berg has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Berg's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Berg fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Berg is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Adams to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Adams shrugs it off. Berg takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Adams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Berg. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Berg looking to finish Adams with some ground and pound. This is bad for Adams! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Berg looking to finish with strikes here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Adams defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Berg. Adams wants to try and get back to his feet. Adams holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Berg tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Berg controlling from mount. Berg looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Berg controlling from mount. Adams has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever. Berg scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Adams is looking for a way out. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Berg missing with punches from the back. Adams has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adams takes a swing at Berg's ribcage but misses. Adams displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Berg. Berg misses with the combination.
Douglas Adams seems to be getting the better of the standup. Berg needs to keep his hands up - Adams had a free shot at his head there. Berg walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Adams lands a nice hook to Berg's body. Berg takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Berg moves in looking to clinch but Adams pushes him off. Adams lands with a shot to the body. Adams moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. A left lands for Adams.
That's one minute gone in the round. Berg has closed the distance and engaged Adams in a clinch.

The fighters land in half guard but Adams regains guard immediately. Adams wants to stand but Berg is controlling the position. Berg slips nicely into half guard. Adams tries to kick Berg off in order to stand up. Berg Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Adams managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Berg.
Berg cracks Adams with a big right hand but Adams just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Berg looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Adams is being controlled here. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Adams managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Berg.
Adams tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Berg has hold of Adams's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Adams manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Berg tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Adams is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
