Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kimo Ovaska!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jace Beleren!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beleren slips under a jab from Ovaska.
Beleren waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ovaska.
Beleren moves in looking to clinch but Ovaska pushes him off.
Ovaska uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Beleren.
Beleren has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Ovaska is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Ovaska bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Beleren lands with an uppercut that bounces Ovaska off the cage and back into range.
Ovaska throws a head kick but Beleren moves out of range.
Ovaska closes the distance and lands a one-two.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ovaska fails to land with a series of punches.
A swing and a miss from Beleren.
Ovaska tries to bum rush Beleren with a series of wild strikes but Beleren uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Beleren lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Ovaska looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A big left from Beleren misses.
Kimo Ovaska seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Beleren throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ovaska swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Beleren counter with a right hand.
Beleren takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Ovaska misses with the combination.
Ovaska jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Beleren wants to clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Beleren connects with a body shot that sends Ovaska's belly button to the back.
Ovaska scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Ovaska goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Ovaska looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ovaska lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Ovaska connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Beleren covering up! Ovaska comes in with a big uppercut and Beleren goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Kimo Ovaska!
