Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tyso Griffi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Demento (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tyso Griffi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Damien Demento!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Roberts and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffi avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Griffi stuffs the takedown.
A bone on bone clash there as Griffi blocks the leg kick.

Griffi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Demento to the mat! Demento manages to get full guard.

Griffi decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Demento, up you get!
A head kick misses from Demento.
Demento wants to clinch

and Griffi counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Demento tries to land a knee to the head but Griffi blocks with his arms.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Griffi.

Griffi gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Demento regains guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Griffi missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Griffi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Griffi is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Griffi slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Griffi works to advance to full mount. Demento defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Demento looks winded!

Griffi working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Griffi is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Demento to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Demento shrugs it off.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Demento really wants to buck Griffi off and get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Griffi working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Demento turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Griffi off and cradles Demento's limp body as Griffi celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Tyso Griffi!
