Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schimmel will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Doyle closes this distance looking for a takedown but Schimmel circles away.
Schimmel lands a body shot.
Horrible takedown by Doyle or perhaps it was just good defense by Schimmel which made him look bad.
Schimmel throws a leg kick which misses Doyle's front leg but catches the back leg as Doyle tries to avoid it.

Schimmel gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Doyle tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Schimmel just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carter Doyle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Doyle is trying to pull guard but Schimmel turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Schimmel escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Doyle gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Schimmel pulls Doyle into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Doyle throws an elbow that misses. Schimmel uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Doyle's guard. Nice move by Schimmel!

Schimmel is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Doyle trying to keep a closed guard but Schimmel is proving a slippery customer.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Schimmel stands and steps away. Doyle gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Schimmel lands a big head kick that sends Doyle tumbling to the mat! Schimmel takes a step backwards and waves Doyle back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Doyle is rocked!

It looks like Carter Doyle has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Schimmel shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Doyle sprawls well. Doyle wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Schimmel gets slowly back to his feet.
Oh Doyle is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Schimmel wobbles Doyle with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Schimmel dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Doyle to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
