Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Luke Harper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, jj Jbjj!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jbjj moves into the clinch successfully.
Harper is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Harper successfully pulls guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Jbjj stands up from Harper's guard - Jbjj perhaps looking for a knockout.
Jbjj fails with the takedown
and Harper counters by moving into the clinch.
Jbjj pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jbjj gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Harper counters by moving into the clinch.
Harper changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jbjj fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jbjj fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Harper manages to avoid it.
Harper tries to clinch up but Jbjj circles away and keeps his distance.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jbjj darts in and clinches Harper up against the cage.
Jbjj is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Harper to keep the fight standing.
Luke Harper has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of jj Jbjj.
Jbjj's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Harper is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Jbjj taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Harper successfully pulls guard.
Harper tries to strike from the bottom.
Jbjj is looking to pass into half guard but Harper pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Harper is in guard.
Harper got a little sloppy there for a moment and Jbjj has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Harper has managed to get both his arms back between Jbjj's legs - danger averted.
Harper slips nicely into half guard.

Harper wants to stand up but Jbjj is controlling the position.
Jbjj avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Harper.
Jbjj is defending against the submission attempts here by Harper.
Jbjj tries to get to full guard but Harper has control of the leg.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jbjj is trying to maintain the position but Harper is very close to passing his half guard.
Harper really is a fat lump.

Jbjj is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Harper has latched onto it... Big trouble! Harper pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Jbjj is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Harper!
