Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Octavio Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Jaffer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jaffer is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: DubRaider- Starry Eyes. The key to victory for Octavio Ramos has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jaffer keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ramos.
Jaffer defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ramos.
Jaffer shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Ramos moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. James Jaffer was stalling too much, according to the referee.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jaffer.
Ramos tries to close the distance and clinch but Jaffer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Jaffer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ramos as he jumps to the side.

Jaffer cracks Ramos with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Ramos shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jaffer pinned against the cage. Jaffer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

and Jaffer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jaffer wants to clinch.
Ramos throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jaffer's waist but Jaffer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ramos off to one side.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jaffer shoots in for a takedown but Ramos shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Well Jaffer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
