Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mark Satorzoda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Chip (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phil Chip has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Mark Satorzoda's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mark Satorzoda! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Phil Chip! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Sosuke Kotani and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Satorzoda drives through with a takedown into guard. Satorzoda is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Chip avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Satorzoda slips nicely into half guard. Satorzoda seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Satorzoda is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Satorzoda is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Chip doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Satorzoda. Satorzoda is thwarting Chip's attempts to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Satorzoda in particular looking to stall. Chip really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Satorzoda. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Chip is refusing to be controlled, as Satorzoda sits in half guard. Chip is looking for a sweep. Satorzoda is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Satorzoda throwing shots but Chip is blocking nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chip is not content to let Satorzoda control the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mark Satorzoda. Satorzoda looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Satorzoda. Chip moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Chip checks a low kick from Satorzoda. Satorzoda tries to clinch but Chip moves out of range. Satorzoda clinches up against the cage. Satorzoda is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Chip breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chip is trying hard to land a takedown here. Satorzoda sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Chip avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Satorzoda throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Satorzoda misses with an uppercut. Chip is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Satorzoda tries to clinch up but Chip circles away and keeps his distance. Chip shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Satorzoda but Satorzoda pushes him off and we're back to square one. Chip shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Satorzoda trying to control from the bottom.
Satorzoda makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Satorzoda.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Satorzoda is on top in guard.
Satorzoda pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Chip is keeping the position for now. Chip being controlled here, momentarily. Satorzoda trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Satorzoda throwing strikes but missing. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Satorzoda trying to control the position from guard on top but Chip is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Satorzoda dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Satorzoda shoots in for a takedown but Chip shows good takedown defense. Chip moves into the clinch. Chip drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Satorzoda gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Chip is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Satorzoda to keep the fight standing. Chip wants a takedown.
Mark Satorzoda has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phil Chip. Satorzoda is trying to maintain a safe position but Chip gets an underhook and turns Satorzoda into the cage. Chip has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Satorzoda is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Satorzoda tries to throw a body punch but Chip avoids it by throwing Satorzoda back against the cage. Chip drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Satorzoda gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Satorzoda jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Chip walks away with a smile on his face. Satorzoda gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chip pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Satorzoda keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Satorzoda blocks a low kick nicely. Satorzoda wants to clinch. Satorzoda feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Chip keeping full guard, as Satorzoda tries to pass. Chip working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Satorzoda.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Satorzoda content to stall in guard here. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Satorzoda's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Mark Satorzoda wasn't doing enough on the ground. A momentary lapse in concentration from Chip enables Satorzoda to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Chip manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Satorzoda is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Satorzoda loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Satorzoda scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Satorzoda works over Chip with some ground and pound from guard. Satorzoda tries to free his leg and advance position but Chip is retaining full guard. Satorzoda's corner is telling him to maintain position. Mark Satorzoda overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Chip keeping full guard, as Satorzoda tries to pass. Satorzoda is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Satorzoda looking to pass the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Satorzoda accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Satorzoda is working for a submission of some sort.

Satorzoda misses with a straight right. Satorzoda moves into the clinch. Satorzoda is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Satorzoda jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Chip walks away with a smile on his face. Satorzoda gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Satorzoda tries to bum rush Chip with a series of wild strikes but Chip uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Chip avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Satorzoda closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Satorzoda wants to control but Chip is keeping him busy. Satorzoda controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Satorzoda wants to control but Chip is keeping him busy. Satorzoda looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Satorzoda is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Chip can do to turn this around? Chip parries the strikes from Satorzoda easily there. Satorzoda is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Chip to escape.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Satorzoda trying to control but Chip is having none of it. Chip blocking the ground and pound. Satorzoda sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Satorzoda putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Satorzoda looking to control and managing it successfully. Chip is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Satorzoda locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Chip is forced to tap!
