Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Belfort (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and El Negro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Negro comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Nine Inch Nail - The Great Destroyer kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, El Negro! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Edson Gomes and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Belfort shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Belfort could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Negro is trying to keep Belfort in close.
Negro is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Belfort throwing strikes but missing. Belfort content to stall in guard here. Negro trying to keep a closed guard but Belfort is proving a slippery customer.
That's one minute gone in the round. Negro keeping full guard, as Belfort tries to pass. Belfort drops back, looking for a kneebar! Negro looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Negro looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Negro! Negro wants to lay and pray for a moment but Belfort keeps working. Belfort bucks up and tries to throw Negro off but instead Negro has got his back! Belfort prevents Negro from getting a body triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Negro misses with a punch to the head. Belfort rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Belfort keeps control of the position for the meantime. Belfort is looking for a sweep. Negro is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Belfort avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Negro. Belfort pushes Negro off looking to stand but Negro dives back in and keeps control.
Negro stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Belfort to get to his feet. Belfort tries to clinch but Negro moves out of range. Negro gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Belfort counters with a nice double leg into side control. Negro won't be happy with that. Belfort has control of an arm but Negro manages to advance to Belfort's back! Belfort doesn't have the hooks in and Negro manages to turn into his guard.
Belfort is breathing heavily. Negro throws a big right hand that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Negro stands up from guard. Let's bang! Belfort closes the distance and clinches. The referee calls for Negro to work.
Negro looking to slow down the pace here. Belfort breaks the clinch.
Negro misses with a takedown and Belfort counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Negro's guard now. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Belfort controls from within his opponent's guard. Belfort pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Negro is keeping the position for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Belfort drives through with a takedown into guard. Negro looking for a sweep. Not yet Negro, not yet. Negro is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Belfort stands up from guard. Let's bang! Belfort closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Belfort escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Anderson Belfort is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Negro tries to close the distance and clinch up but Belfort swats him away and circles back towards the center. Negro tries to clinch up and Belfort decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Negro's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Belfort is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Negro trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Negro not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Belfort is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Belfort missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Negro is looking to stand up but Belfort isn't so interested in that idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Negro keeping moving, preventing Belfort from controlling successfully. Negro wants to sweep here but Belfort controlling him for the moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Negro with a lazy takedown attempt and Belfort counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Negro's guard now. Belfort stays in close to Negro's body and controls the position. Belfort passes Negro's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Belfort keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Negro holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Belfort controlling the action here. Negro trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Negro is just holding on here. Belfort manages to take his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Negro is trying to get back to his feet but Belfort has full control of the position and if anything, Negro has just worked his way into a worse spot. Belfort is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Negro. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. Belfort thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent. You can see the frustration on Negro's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Negro has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Belfort fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Negro sprawls well initially but Belfort persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. El Negro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Negro swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

Negro clinches but Belfort breaks the clinch and Belfort counters with a nice double leg into side control. Negro won't be happy with that. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Negro is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Belfort is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Negro can do to turn this around?
That's two minutes gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Belfort goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Negro rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Belfort's guard! Nice work there by Negro! Negro trying to control but Belfort is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Negro won't allow Belfort to sweep him here. Negro is looking to stand up but Belfort won't let him. Belfort is pulling down on Negro's head to control his posture. Belfort is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Negro wants to clinch and Belfort counters with a nice double leg into guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Negro avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Belfort looking to pass the guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Anderson Belfort showed his dominance in that final round. Well Belfort has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
