Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Black Belt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Nixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Belt shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Belt is looking to advance position but Nixon won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nixon trying to hold on to Belt's head to control him but Belt postures up.

Belt is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Nixon is just riding it out for now. Belt eventually gives up the hold.

Belt throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Nixon works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Belt drops back, looking for a kneebar! Nixon looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Nixon looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Nixon!
Belt is not content to let Nixon control the position.
Belt is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Nixon's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Belt is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at SWF GYM , so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Belt manages to get to full guard.

Nixon is working Belt over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Nixon with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Belt has his hands on Nixon's head, controlling the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Black Belt dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Belt looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Nixon!

Belt goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Nixon has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Belt but great work by Nixon.

Belt is trying to control Nixon's posture but Nixon avoids it.
Belt gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Nixon prevents Belt from improving his position.
Nixon takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Belt makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Belt.
Nixon postures up.

Belt is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Nixon rolls with it to try and escape but Belt cranks on the arm and Nixon is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Black Belt!
A loyal slave to those sponsorship dollars, Black Belt made sure he mentioned Bloodlust Horde Fightwear, along with how happy he was to win his fight.
David Nixon was interviewed post fight and said 'You got Lucky, Rematch me and you will get your ass Knocked out'.
