Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Terry Moon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Maclean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ivan Maclean will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Terry Moon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Maclean! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Igor Prikhodko and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Maclean's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Maclean duly obliges.
It looks like Terry Moon has been cut. Ivan Maclean seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Moon shoots for a takedown but Maclean saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Maclean has taken the fight to the clinch.
Moon is fighting off a takedown attempt but Maclean is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Moon to the mat. Moon regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Maclean is in close to Moon's body, working some short punches and elbows. This has been an exciting period of action! Maclean got a little sloppy there for a moment and Moon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Maclean has managed to get both his arms back between Moon's legs - danger averted. Maclean postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Maclean is looking to work some ground and pound but Moon has wrist control. Maclean trying to control but Moon is working from the bottom. Moon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Ivan Maclean was stalling too much, according to the referee. Maclean avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Maclean keeps the fight on the outside. Moon shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Maclean defends it nicely. A nice leg kick lands there from Maclean.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maclean closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Moon throws a head punch that misses. Moon fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Maclean breaks from the clinch.
Maclean getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Moon moves in looking to clinch but Maclean pushes him off. Maclean darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Maclean wants to lay and pray for a moment but Moon keeps working. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Moon works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maclean missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Maclean postures up in Moon's guard and throws a big left but Moon blocks it. Moon preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Maclean content to stall in guard here. Maclean has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Moon is proving hard to escape from.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Maclean works over Moon with some ground and pound from guard. Maclean must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Moon lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Maclean! Maclean slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Maclean is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Moon's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Moon's back! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The referee is taking a good look at Moon as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Maclean!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Moon defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ivan Maclean wasn't active enough on the ground. Moon gets tackled into the cage by Maclean. Maclean maintains the clinch. Moon jumps guard but Maclean stands there with Moon around his waist. Moon gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Maclean closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Moon's guard. Moon can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Maclean controls the pace. Moon managing to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Maclean can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Moon is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Moon trying to keep a closed guard but Maclean is proving a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Moon gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Maclean to score an easy takedown into full guard. Maclean working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Moon had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Maclean defends it easily. Maclean trying to control but Moon is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Maclean is looking to work some ground and pound but Moon has wrist control. Maclean looking to sit in guard and control but Moon gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Maclean is trying to keep Moon in close.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Maclean is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Maclean is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Ivan Maclean showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Terry Moon's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Maclean slaps away a takedown attempt from Moon, before circling back to the center of the mat. Moon closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Maclean is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Moon has just dragged him back down to the mat. You can see the frustration on Maclean's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Moon wants to control but Maclean is keeping him busy. Maclean can't do much from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maclean is being controlled here. Maclean bucks up and tries to throw Moon off but instead Moon has got his back! What can Maclean do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Moon throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Moon is punishing Maclean with strikes - can he finish him?! Maclean covering up well and avoiding damage. Maclean looking very determined here, making life difficult for Moon.
Maclean is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Moon gets his way!
