Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bernie Hoost! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, King Of Qfc! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paul Aken and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hoost moves into the clinch successfully.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Hoost. Qfc wants a takedown.
Qfc is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Hoost gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Qfc is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Hoost has a couple of punches blocked by Qfc.

Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Hoost passes Qfc's left leg - he's now in half guard. Qfc really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hoost. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Qfc tries to buck Hoost off but Hoost is having none of it. Hoost decides to stand back up. Hoost wants to clinch and Qfc counters with an outside leg kick.
Bernie Hoost seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hoost moves to clinch but Qfc breaks away and Qfc counters with a straight right hand. Hoost tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Qfc counters into the clinch. Nicely done. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hoost throws a punch but it's blocked by Qfc. Qfc blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Bernie Hoost has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of King Of Qfc. Qfc jumps guard and drags Hoost to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Hoost trying to control the position from guard on top but Qfc is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hoost has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Qfc is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Qfc is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hoost defends well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hoost forces his way into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Qfc flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Qfc is trying to maintain the position but Hoost is very close to passing his half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hoost looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Qfc with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Qfc is trying to stand up here but Hoost is controlling him well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Qfc can do anything to dispel that myth. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hoost is looking to take a break and control but Qfc is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Qfc blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hoost. He's almost out here... but no, Qfc gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Hoost is looking for a sweep. Qfc is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Hoost will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Qfc scoring with punches from side control.
