Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alton Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Shooter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alton Mack has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alton Mack! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jake Shooter! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shooter closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mack circles away. Shooter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mack as he avoids it easily. Shooter fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Alton Mack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Shooter. Shooter looking to score a takedown here. Mack is defending well but Shooter drives through and ends up in Mack's guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Shooter stops Mack from standing up. Mack working for a triangle but Shooter defends it easily.
Mack wants to stand up but Shooter is controlling him. Mack is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Mack keeping full guard, as Shooter tries to pass. Mack is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Alton Mack wasn't doing enough on the ground. Shooter fails with the takedown and Mack makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Shooter forces Mack back against the cage and clinches. Shooter drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mack gets the underhooks and prevents it.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Shooter takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shooter gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Mack regains guard.

Shooter won't allow Mack to get back to his feet. Shooter controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jake Shooter wasn't active enough on the ground. A momentary lapse in concentration from Mack enables Shooter to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Mack manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shooter not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shooter trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shooter trying to control the position from guard on top but Mack is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Shooter looking to pass the guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Mack looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Jake Shooter hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Mack shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Shooter as he avoids it easily. Mack throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shooter's waist but Shooter gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Mack off to one side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mack gets caught napping as Shooter dives in and scores a takedown. Mack manages to retain guard. Shooter content to stall in guard here. Mack has Shooter pulled in close to control his posture. Shooter slips nicely into half guard. Shooter is taking a breather. Mack says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mack is trying to stand.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Shooter looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Mack is trying to stand up here but Shooter is controlling him well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Shooter dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Shooter fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mack to the ground. Shooter is now in Mack's guard. Shooter sitting in guard, not really doing much. Shooter forces his way into half guard. Shooter trying to control the pace. Shooter is trying to control. Mack wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Mack is trying to stand.

Mack shoots for a double leg takedown but Shooter sprawls well. He's pushed Mack's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alton Mack. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mack fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Shooter, pushing him back against the cage. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Shooter gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Mack.

Shooter wants to take the fight to the mat but Mack manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mack jumps guard and drags Shooter to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Shooter is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Shooter wants to control from the top but Mack keeps moving. Shooter sitting in guard here, content to control. Mack is trying to keep Shooter in close.
Jake Shooter has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Shooter fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mack avoids it really well and circles away. Shooter with a poor takedown letting Mack counter with a right hand. Shooter shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mack defends it nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mack tries to sprawl but Shooter drives through with a takedown into half guard. Shooter trying to control from half guard but Mack is working away. Mack really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Shooter is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mack defends it well. Mack is trying to stand up here but Shooter is controlling him well. Shooter seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mack does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Shooter keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Mack is trying to stand.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jake Shooter was stalling too much, according to the referee. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Mack. Shooter scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mack looks like he's trying to stand up.

Jake Shooter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Shooter takes the fight into the clinch. Shooter is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Mack is defending well. Shooter tries for a takedown. No joy.

Shooter is trying to drag Mack to the mat but Mack just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Shooter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Shooter is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mack tries to circle away but Shooter has him pinned against the cage. Shooter changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mack fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Mack looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Jake Shooter has got the better of the ground game so far. Shooter looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Shooter pulls Mack in close to prevent any damage. Mack postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mack working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Shooter is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Shooter seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jake Shooter. Mack drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mack in side control, throwing shots but Shooter defends. Mack will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Shooter tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Mack wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Shooter manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Shooter is looking for a sweep. Mack is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mack is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Shooter defends it well. Shooter is trying to stand.
Mack is thwarting Shooter's attempts to control the position. Mack throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Shooter wants to get back to his feet. Shooter tries to roll over but Mack keeps him under control. Shooter is trying to control but can't.
That's four minutes gone in the round.

Mack gets slowly back to his feet. Jake Shooter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mack shoots and misses and Shooter holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Mack wants a takedown.
Shooter is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Mack pulls him back up using the underhooks. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Shooter has hold of one of Mack's legs. Mack is fighting the takedown attempt but Shooter gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Jake Shooter is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Mack looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Alton Mack has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Shooter sitting in guard, not really doing much.
And that's the end of the fight! Jake Shooter comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Shooter has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
