Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Devlin Mudd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Everaldo Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Everaldo Evans enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Devlin Mudd! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Everaldo Evans! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Taro Takaoka and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mudd has a takedown stuffed. Evans tries a head kick but it misses.
Evans closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Evans lands in his opponent's guard. Evans passes into half guard. Mudd looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Mudd actively working from the bottom here. Evans is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Evans is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Evans trying to advance position but Mudd counters by regaining guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Evans decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Everaldo Evans seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mudd fails with the takedown and Evans counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Mudd's guard now. Evans wants to pass the guard but Mudd is keeping the position. Evans passes into half guard. Mudd controlling the position well. Mudd trying to hold on to Evans's head to control him but Evans postures up.

Evans is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mudd is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mudd has escaped and now he's on top! Mudd stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Evans swivels though and keeps the full guard. Mudd stands and throws Evans's legs to the side, diving into side control. Evans stops Mudd from passing to mount. Mudd is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Evans is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mudd tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Evans is trying to get back to half guard. Evans gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Evans looking for submissions off his back. The fighters are battling for position here. Evans manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Mudd avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Evans working for a triangle but Mudd defends it easily.
Mudd wants to control from the top but Evans keeps moving. Evans is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mudd trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Everaldo Evans dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Evans shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mudd's guard. Mudd is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Mudd is pressing down on Evans's thigh, looking to free his foot. Evans is holding on for now. Evans actively working from the bottom here. Mudd wants to pass the guard but Evans is defending well. Evans regains full guard. Nicely done. Mudd trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Evans looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Mudd puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Evans is refusing to be controlled, as Mudd sits in half guard.

Evans postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Mudd is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Evans, into his guard. Mudd trying to control the position from guard on top but Evans is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Evans escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mudd gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Mudd advances to half guard. Mudd is working for a kimura but Evans is defending it quite comfortably.
Evans actively working from the bottom here. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Evans is looking for a sweep. Mudd is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Mudd wants to free his trapped foot but Evans is holding on for dear life with his legs. Evans is pressing down on Mudd's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Mudd trying to stand up but can't free himself from Evans's guard. Mudd drops back looking for a leg! Evans is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Evans manages to kick Mudd off! Mudd jumps back into Evans's guard. Evans had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Mudd is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Evans Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Mudd's back instead. You can see the frustration on Mudd's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Everaldo Evans showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Evans tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Mudd swivels and escapes. Evans drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Evans goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Mudd has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Evans but great work by Mudd. Evans is trying to get back to half guard. Evans manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Evans moves into full guard.

Mudd is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Evans forces his way into half guard. Evans is working for a submission of some sort.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mudd slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Evans must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Mudd is trying to control the position but Evans postures up. Mudd keeping full guard, as Evans tries to pass. Evans thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Evans wants to stand and escape but instead Mudd has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Mudd is pushing down on Evans's leg trying to pass to half guard. Evans is fighting to maintain full guard but Mudd has managed to sneak the leg through. Evans is trying to get back to full guard. Mudd is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Evans tries to roll over but Mudd keeps him under control. Evans actively working from the bottom here. Devlin Mudd has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Everaldo Evans is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Evans moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Devlin Mudd. Well Evans has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality.
