Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shinichi Onizuka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ike Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Onizuka comes to the cage accompanied by Nate Dogg - First We Pray. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 10 - 1, fighting out of New York, Shinichi Onizuka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 8 - 1, fighting out of New York, Ike Turner! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Eddie Farnsworth and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sloppy strikes from Onizuka. Those never looked like landing. A swing and a miss from Onizuka. Turner avoids the body shot from Onizuka.
Onizuka throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Turner counters with a nice body shot. Onizuka fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Nice defenses there by Turner. Danga de danga de dang - Turner scores with a four punch combination! Onizuka misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Turner scores with a sloppy right hand. Onizuka should have avoided that one. Onizuka keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Turner. Onizuka throws the left hand but Turner avoids the punch easily. Onizuka avoids the body shot from Turner.

and Turner counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Turner keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. A swing and a miss from Onizuka. The crowd cheers as Turner lands an impressive looking overhand right. Onizuka doesn't seem phased though. Turner slips a jab and a cross from Onizuka.
Onizuka swings for the body but Turner moves out of range.
Onizuka feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Turners jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Onizuka is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Turner. A chopping leg kick lands by Turner. Turner thows a body shot but no joy. Turner slips a jab from Onizuka. Turner misses with the combination.
Onizuka staying out of range there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Onizuka misses with a wild body shot. Onizuka fails with a takedown attempt. Turner moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Onizuka misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Turner.
Turner lets loose with a powerful body kick. Onizuka will feel that in the morning. Turner throws a low kick, looking for Onizuka's leg but Onizuka calmly moves out of range. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Turner ducks under a wild hook from Onizuka. Onizuka throws a big shot that misses. Turner looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Onizuka scores with a decent looking hook. Shinichi Onizuka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Onizuka throws a lazy uppercut
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Onizuka takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Turner throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Onizuka misses with a lunging right hand
and Turner counters with a left to the body. Onizuka throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Turner. Onizuka is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Turner. Onizuka comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. A big left from Onizuka misses. Onizuka looks to land a right hand but Turner moved out of range. Turner is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Turner lands a glancing blow to the side of Onizuka's head. Turner uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Onizuka.
Turner scores with a punch to the head. Onizuka connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Turner's hands.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Onizuka slips a jab and a cross from Turner.
Onizuka takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Onizuka slips a jab from Turner. Onizuka misses with a shot to the body and Turner counters with a lovely straight right hand! Onizuka lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Onizuka fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Turner manages to avoid it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Onizuka lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like Ike Turner has been cut. Nice defenses there by Turner. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shinichi Onizuka dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ike Turner's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Turner throws a predictable looking body shot
and Onizuka counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Onizuka controlling the action here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Onizuka has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Onizuka passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Onizuka throwing strikes here but Turner is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Turner wants to try and get back to his feet. Turner defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Onizuka. Poor strikes thrown by Onizuka there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
We've been hearing good reports from Onizuka's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Turner is trying to stand up. Onizuka misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Onizuka lands a heavy elbow. Onizuka tries to take Turner's back but instead Turner uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Onizuka wants to pass the guard but Turner is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Onizuka not landing any meaningful shots this time. Onizuka has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Onizuka is stalling here. Turner is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Onizuka seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Turner has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Onizuka wants to control but Turner postures up. Onizuka tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Turner wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A control attempt from Onizuka but he's now mounted! Onizuka is looking to get to half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Onizuka tries to lock up and control but Turner gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shinichi Onizuka dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Ike Turner's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Onizuka shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Turner eats them both and turns towards Onizuka to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Turner ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Onizuka just misses with a punch to the body.
Turner scores with a decent looking hook. Onizuka shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Turner counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Onizuka lands a two punch combo.

Turner tries to move into range but Onizuka moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Turner swings away with a leg kick that misses. Onizuka lands a nice hook to Turner's body. Turner takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. The fighters circling - Onizuka throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Turner looks for the body kick but Onizuka saw that one coming. Onizuka is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Turner. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Turner.
Ike Turner has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

and Turner connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Onizuka throws an overhand right that lands on Turner's shoulder, as Turner tries to avoid the shot. Onizuka chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Turner can pounce on him.

Onizuka moves out of range of the strikes. Onizuka rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Turner counters with a nice low kick that buckles Onizuka's knee momentarily. Onizuka throws out a loose jab but Turner uses good head movement to avoid it. Turner uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Onizuka scores with a crisp jab that stopped Turner in his tracks. Shinichi Onizuka is winning the standup battle so far. Onizuka scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Shinichi Onizuka overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Onizuka misses with the ground and pound. Turner is pushing Onizuka's head away, looking to escape. Onizuka manages to hold on to the position though. Onizuka is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Turner is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Turner stops Onizuka from passing to mount. Turner tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Shinichi Onizuka is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Even with his hooks in, Onizuka manages to miss with strikes from the back. Turner is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Onizuka off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Turner preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Onizuka.
And that's the end of the fight! Shinichi Onizuka showed his dominance in that final round. Well Onizuka has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
