Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tom Tatam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Leblanc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tom Tatam has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tom Tatam! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Leblanc! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leblanc misses with a double jab.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Leblanc has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. A punch combination from Leblanc misses. Tatam is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Leblanc's half guard. Tatam is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Leblanc pushes Tatam off looking to stand but Tatam dives back in and keeps control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tatam scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Tatam prevents Leblanc from standing back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Tom Tatam just wasn't active enough. Leblanc lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Leblanc. Tatam decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Tatam performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Tatam scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Tatam prevents Leblanc from standing back up.

Tatam stays in close to Leblanc's body and controls the position. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Tatam won't allow Leblanc to get back to his feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tom Tatam. Tatam dodges the punch combination from Leblanc.
Tatam closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Leblanc did well to prevent Tatam getting side control. Leblanc looks like he's trying to stand up.
Tatam seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tatam takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Tatam looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Leblanc with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Tatam content to control rather than advance. Tatam has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Tatam in particular looking to stall. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tatam working over Leblanc with some ground and pound. Leblanc looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Leblanc is trying to stand back up but Tatam is controlling him

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Leblanc defending well as Tatam loads up on a big left hand. Leblanc wants to stand and escape but Tatam is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Leblanc wants to get back to his feet but Tatam is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Tatam controlling from the top position.

Tatam grinds an elbow into Leblanc's temple. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Tatam has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Tatam scores with a couple of short elbows. Tom Tatam dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Tatam misses with an uppercut. Tatam shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Leblanc is trying to defend but Tatam finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Leblanc is looking to escape. Tatam is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Leblanc can do to turn this around? Tatam looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Tatam looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Tatam sitting and controlling from the half guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Tatam lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Leblanc looks to land a combination but Tatam avoids it well. Tatam gets the takedown into side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Leblanc bucks up and tries to throw Tatam off but instead Tatam has got his back! Tatam is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Leblanc is trying to get back to his feet but Tatam has full control of the position and if anything, Leblanc has just worked his way into a worse spot. Tatam has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Leblanc's body.

No, Tatam has managed to get both his arms back between Leblanc's legs - danger averted. Tatam is stalling in the full guard. Leblanc is wriggling around but Tatam manages to pass to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well, if Tatam is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Leblanc looking for submissions off his back. Tatam is figuring out what he wants to do next. Leblanc looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tatam is taking a breather. Leblanc says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
And that's the end of the fight! Tom Tatam showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tatam, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
