The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffiths circles away from the clinch attempt.
Griffiths ducks under a wild hook from Waters.
Waters takes a swing at Griffiths's ribcage but misses.
Lance Waters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Griffiths has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Waters.
Waters tries to clinch
and Griffiths counters with a leg kick.
Griffiths has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Waters.
Griffiths has a takedown stuffed.
Griffiths shoots in for a double leg but Waters sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Waters attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Griffiths throws a leg kick but Waters sees it coming and moves out of range.

Waters scores with a decent looking hook.
It looks like Stephen Griffiths has been cut.
A lazy body kick from Waters
and Griffiths counters with a thumping low kick.
Waters fails with an attempt to clinch.
Waters misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Griffiths misses with a takedown
and Waters counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stephen Griffiths. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Waters misses with a looping left.
Griffiths tries to land a front kick but Waters steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Griffiths checks a leg kick nicely.
Waters darts in looking for a takedown but Griffiths gets double underhooks and turns Waters into the cage.

Waters has a couple of punches blocked by Griffiths.

Griffiths prevents a takedown attempt there.

Waters tries to throw a body punch but Griffiths avoids it by throwing Waters back against the cage.

Waters lands a right hand that snaps the head of Griffiths backwards.
Waters breaks from the clinch.
Griffiths throws a push kick but Waters slaps the foot to one side.
Griffiths walks into a left hand.
Waters moves in looking to clinch but Griffiths pushes him off.
Waters throws a leg kick but Griffiths checks it.
Waters fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Waters fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Griffiths on the side of the head.
A low kick from Waters is predictable there
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
A head kick by Griffiths misses
and Waters counters with a nice double leg into side control. Griffiths won't be happy with that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
You can see the frustration on Griffiths's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Waters in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Griffiths is trying to control Waters's posture but Waters avoids it.
Waters tries to move to mount but Griffiths blocks the move with his legs.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A control attempt from Griffiths but he's now mounted!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lance Waters dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Stephen Griffiths's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Waters thuds his shin into the meat of Griffiths's side.
Waters tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Griffiths was well out of range. Poor timing from Waters.
Waters fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Griffiths checks it well.
Waters is looking to land body kicks.
Waters misses with a leg kick
and Griffiths counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Waters clinches up against the cage.
Griffiths keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Waters's efforts to push away.
Waters stalls.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Griffiths fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Waters lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Griffiths is fighting off a takedown attempt but Waters is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Griffiths to the mat. Griffiths regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Waters has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Griffiths to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Waters is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Griffiths pulls down on the head and he's put Waters to sleep! This one is all over!
