Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bart Anthony!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Luan Alves!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Mauricio Rocha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anthony shoots in but Alves avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Alves looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Anthony tries to clinch but Alves moves away
and Alves counters with a thumping low kick.
Alves throws a lazy head kick
and Anthony moves into the clinch.
Alves being controlled against the cage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Alves avoiding damage as Anthony throws knees to the body.
The referee is keeping an eye on Alves - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Anthony wants to take the fight to the mat but Alves manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Alves displaying some good clinch control by pressing Anthony up against the cage.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Luan Alves.
Alves throws a head kick but Anthony moves out of range.
Anthony is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Anthony really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Anthony chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Alves can pounce on him.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Alves swats away the attempt to clinch by Anthony.
Alves swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Anthony counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Alves lands an elbow that stopped Anthony in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like Bart Anthony has been cut.
Anthony escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A head kick by Anthony misses
and Alves counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Anthony is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Look low, kick high! Alves uses the oldest trick in the book to send Anthony tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Alves is absolutely delighted - when Anthony wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
