Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kay Maurico (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Morthy Chaverez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Kay Maurico has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Kay Maurico seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Morthy Chaverez!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chaverez goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Danga de danga de dang - Chaverez scores with a four punch combination!
Chaverez displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Chaverez lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Maurico takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Maurico closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Maurico lands in his opponent's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chaverez looks winded!
Maurico stands up from Chaverez's guard - Maurico perhaps looking for a knockout.
Sloppy strikes from Chaverez. Those never looked like landing.
Maurico fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Chaverez fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Maurico.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Maurico.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Chaverez misses with a jab, cross combination.
Maurico closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Chaverez did well to prevent Maurico getting side control.
Maurico seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Maurico decides to stand and escape the position.
Maurico clinches with his opponent.
Chaverez misses with a knee strike.

Maurico breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Maurico cracks the inside of Chaverez's front leg.
Chaverez gets caught flat footed, as Maurico shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Maurico drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Maurico as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Chaverez screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Maurico! Nice submission victory there!
