PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Duke Nukem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Wayne Parr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that John Wayne Parr was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parr tries to clinch but Nukem is having none of it.
Parr wants to clinch.

Parr rushes Nukem and presses him up against the cage.

Nukem turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Nukem manages to end up in side control.
Parr is trying to get back to half guard.
Nukem in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Nukem is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Parr has escaped the position, nice work there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Nukem is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Parr is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Nukem wants to lay and pray for a moment but Parr keeps working.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nukem throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Parr tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Nukem wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Parr can't do much from the bottom here.
Nukem has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Nukem wants to control but Parr is keeping him busy.

Nukem is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Parr knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Nukem content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Nukem has an Americana. Parr didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Nukem is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Nukem hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
