The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bautista throws a body punch but Darkspear moves out of range.
Darkspear is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bautista sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Darkspear gets tackled into the cage by Bautista. Bautista maintains the clinch.

I was talking to Bautista's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Bautista is trying to trip Darkspear. He has hold of a leg but Darkspear is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Bautista persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Bautista lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Darkspear! More strikes land and this one is all over! Bautista jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

Darek Bautista tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
