The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reeves shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sticks as he jumps to the side.
Sticks is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Sticks has Reeves up against the cage in a clinch.
Reeves wants a takedown.
Sticks misses with a hook to the ribs.
Sticks pulls guard.
Reeves throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sticks works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Sticks is looking to sweep but instead, Reeves has passed into half guard.
Sticks wants to control but Reeves is keeping busy.
Sticks wants to control but Reeves passes into side.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Reeves scores with a couple of short elbows.
Reeves has hold of Sticks's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Sticks tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Reeves cranks the arm and Sticks screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Sticks, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
