Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Takeshi Naoki! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Imma Bag! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bag lands with an uppercut that bounces Naoki off the cage and back into range.
It looks like Takeshi Naoki has been cut. The fighters circling - Bag throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Bag stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Naoki. Naoki connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Bag moves out of range as Naoki throws a body kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Bag misses the target. Naoki tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bag was well out of range. Poor timing from Naoki. A head kick misses from Bag. Bag throws a jab but it's blocked by Naoki. Bag has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Bag throws a jab when Naoki was well out of range. Bag throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Naoki drops Bag with a left right combo! That's better than Naoki was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Naoki tries to advance to mount but Bag denies him. Naoki trying to control the position but Bag is working away.

Naoki is looking to take a break and control but Bag is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bag parries the strikes from Naoki easily there. Naoki is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Bag to escape.

Naoki is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bag can do to turn this around? Naoki wants to work for an arm triangle but Bag is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Naoki prevents Bag from breaking the clinch. Naoki is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Bag can't fight it off and eventually Naoki manages to take the fight to the floor. Bag looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Bag is wobbling all over the place through exhaustion. Will he make it to the final bell? Bag wants to get back to his feet but Naoki is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Naoki accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Naoki throws a strike but Bag rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Bag is fighting to break Naoki's control of his arms but Naoki is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Takeshi Naoki wasn't doing enough on the ground. Naoki displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bag throws out the jab. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Naoki lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bag has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bag and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Naoki uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bag. Bag takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
