Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Colin St John!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St John jabs Bollanos right on the nose. Bollanos blinks but takes it well.
Bollanos throws a hook but St John avoids it easily.
St John ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bollanos enables St John to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bollanos manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Bollanos looking to hit a scissor sweep but St John is one step ahead there.
St John looking to sit in guard and control but Bollanos gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

St John is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bollanos is aware though and is defending well.

St John wants to sweep but no luck.

St John throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Colin St John seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

St John swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
St John connects with a body shot that sends Bollanos's belly button to the back.
St John throws out a loose jab but Bollanos uses good head movement to avoid it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

St John throws a shot from downtown. Bollanos moves away and avoids it.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

St John ducks under a wild hook from Bollanos.
Bollanos is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by St John.

St John throws a lazy right hand but Bollanos sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
St John fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bollanos manages to avoid it.

Bollanos uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from St John.
St John dips to his left and cracks Bollanos with an uppercut!

Roberto Gomez Bollanos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
St John lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

St John fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bollanos sprawls well initially but St John persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Bollanos won't allow St John to pass to mount.
St John is trying to control the action in half guard but Bollanos is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bollanos is staying active underneath St John, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Bollanos on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bollanos tries to get out of the position.
Bollanos is trying to maintain the position but St John is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bollanos is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for St John. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Bollanos is refusing to be controlled, as St John sits in half guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Colin St John hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Bollanos seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

St John sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Bollanos's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well St John has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
