Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Francois Dubonet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Francois Dubonet has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 25 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Francois Dubonet!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 26 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bryan Bishop!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Emerson Jorge and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dubonet looks to land a combination but Bishop avoids it well.
Bishop fails with the takedown
and Dubonet counters with a stiff right hand.
Bishop shoots in looking for a takedown. Dubonet tries to sprawl out of it but Bishop keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dubonet manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Dubonet really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dubonet attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Bishop gets the takedown into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Dubonet is not content to let Bishop control the position.
Bishop might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Dubonet haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Bishop postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Bishop darts in looking for a takedown but Dubonet gets double underhooks and turns Bishop into the cage.

Dubonet breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Horrible takedown by Bishop or perhaps it was just good defense by Dubonet which made him look bad.

Dubonet tries a low kick but Bishop avoids it.

Bishop throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dubonet.

Dubonet works over Bishop's head and body with a nice combination.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dubonet looks to land a body kick but Bishop moved away.
Bishop is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dubonet sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Dubonet pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Bishop back to the cage. Dubonet follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dubonet throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bishop on the side of the head.
Bishop shoots for a double leg takedown but Dubonet sprawls well. He's pushed Bishop's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dubonet is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Bishop tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dubonet defends well and Bishop ends up having to push Dubonet into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Bishop throws an elbow that misses. Dubonet uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bishop's guard. Nice move by Dubonet!

Dubonet connects with a leg kick. Bishop looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Francois Dubonet.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dubonet, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
