Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Luis Carlos Linhares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mookie Magaba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Magaba's choice of entrance music: Three Days Grace - Animal I Have Become . Mookie Magaba acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Russell Pearce and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Linhares throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Magaba to counter with a crisp jab.
Magaba fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Linhares.
A cross from Magaba lands.
Linhares looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Good exchange - Magaba coming out on top.
Magaba moves out of range as Linhares throws a body kick.
Magaba will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Magaba crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Linhares - the referee stops the clock and Magaba gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Linhares. Magaba manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Magaba throws a right hand that Linhares ducks under and follows up with a left that Linhares also avoids with ease.

Linhares pivots, looking for a leg kick but Magaba is out of range and Linhares settles back down.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Magaba lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Linhares has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Linhares and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Linhares clobbers Magaba with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Linhares's corner calls for a 1-2. Linhares obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Magaba with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Linhares to score with a decent uppercut.
The crowd cheers as Linhares lands an impressive looking overhand right. Magaba doesn't seem phased though.
Magaba is rocked!
Magaba shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Linhares defends it nicely.
Magaba is still on wobbly legs! Can Linhares finish him?

No joy there for Magaba, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Magaba seems to have recovered his senses.

Magaba has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Magaba there as he acknowledges the shot.

Magaba looks winded!
Linhares throws a nice outside leg kick.
Magaba takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Magaba sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Linhares scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Magaba walks straight into a right hand from Linhares - that's dropped him! Linhares jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Magaba from any more punishment! Magaba complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Luis Carlos Linhares!
