Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Conan Erikson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Azruk Zero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zero rushes Erikson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Zero is working for takedown but Erikson is calmly controlling the position for now.
Zero has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Erikson uses from the top position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Zero is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Erikson is controlling him.
Zero is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Erikson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zero wants to stand up but Erikson has a hold of him and won't allow it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Erikson wants to improve his position but Zero is controlling well.
Zero is pressing down on Erikson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Erikson is holding on for now.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Azruk Zero hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Zero fails with a takedown attempt.
Conan Erikson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Zero.
Conan Erikson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Azruk Zero.
Zero drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Erikson is holding Zero down, trying to stall.

Erikson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Erikson is trying to maintain the position but Zero is very close to passing his half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Zero seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Erikson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Erikson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Erikson has his foot on Zero's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Zero works his way back into a safe position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Erikson is defended easily by Zero.

and Zero counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Horrible takedown by Erikson or perhaps it was just good defense by Zero which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Conan Erikson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Zero counters with a one-two to the body.
Zero feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Conan Erikson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Zero looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Oh but Erikson is tightening it up a little... Zero has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Zero reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Zero taps out! Nice BJJ there by Erikson!
