Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Benji Hidori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rod Stiffington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hidori comes to the cage accompanied by allejandro. Rod Stiffington has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Benji Hidori's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 14 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Benji Hidori! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rod Stiffington! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hidori gets a clinch. Hidori is pressed up against the cage. Stiffington has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hidori down to the mat. Hidori avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. The fight stays on the outside here - Stiffington looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Hidori takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Stiffington shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hidori as he jumps to the side. Hidori tries to close the distance and clinch up but Stiffington swats him away and circles back towards the center. Hidori leaves Stiffington with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Benji Hidori has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rod Stiffington. Hidori misses with a wild combination.
Stiffington drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Stiffington looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. It looks like Stiffington might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Rod Stiffington has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Hidori throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stiffington's waist but Stiffington gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hidori off to one side. Hidori gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Stiffington counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Stiffington. Hidori looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hidori trying to control the position.
Stiffington is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Stiffington drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Stiffington seems to have locked his on tight now - Hidori screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Stiffington, as he picks up the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Rod Stiffington! Rod Stiffington opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see. Benji Hidori was interviewed post fight and said 'I have dishonored myself and my fans.'.
