Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Neely (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deidara Zetsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Neely's entrance music is Cracker - Low. A fine choice. Zetsu is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Make Me. Jack Neely has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
27 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Neely! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Deidara Zetsu! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Neely swings away with a leg kick that misses. Zetsu tries to keep at a distance but Neely has taken the fight into the clinch. Neely scores with a nice hook to the head.
It looks like Deidara Zetsu has been cut. Neely lands a left hand.
Neely lands a body punch in the clinch. Zetsu swings wildly with an uppercut but Neely uses good head movement to avoid it. Zetsu tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Neely avoids it. Zetsu tries to break free but Neely pushes him back against the cage. Neely drags the fight down to the ground.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Neely is pulling down on Zetsu's head to control his posture. Zetsu won't allow Neely to sweep him here. Zetsu throws a big right hand that misses. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Zetsu trying to control the position from guard on top but Neely is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Neely working a defensive guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zetsu throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Zetsu trying to control but Neely is working from the bottom. Neely preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Neely utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Zetsu sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Zetsu misses with a body kick. Zetsu jabbing away but nothing is landing. Good standup being displayed there by Neely as he connects with a hook. Zetsu throws a big shot that misses. A head kick misses from Zetsu. Zetsu shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Zetsu misses with a straight right. Zetsu takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Neely moves out of range as Zetsu throws a body kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Zetsu crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Neely - the referee stops the clock and Zetsu gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Neely. Zetsu manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Zetsu tries to land a body kick and Neely counters with a nice double leg into guard. Neely working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Zetsu keeping full guard, as Neely tries to pass. Neely throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Neely's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Zetsu controls Neely momentarily but Neely frees himself. Zetsu preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Neely scoring with punches to the head and body.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Neely working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Neely showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Neely trying to control but Zetsu is working from the bottom. Zetsu working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Neely. Zetsu keeping full guard, as Neely tries to pass. Neely wants to control from the top but Zetsu keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neely postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Zetsu keeping moving, preventing Neely from controlling successfully. Neely throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Jack Neely. Neely stuns Zetsu with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Neely goes for a double leg but Zetsu avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Zetsu continues to drive forward. This has been an exciting period of action! Zetsu putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Neely in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Neely is breathing heavily. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Zetsu obliges. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Zetsu. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Zetsu tries to circle away but Neely has him pinned against the cage. Neely tries a body shot but Zetsu blocks it.

It looks like Jack Neely has been cut. Zetsu landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jack Neely will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Neely uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Zetsu. Neely scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Neely looks to score with a jab to the body but Zetsu is just out of range. Zetsu pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Neely has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Zetsu. Zetsu throws a low kick but it's checked well by Neely. Zetsu connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Neely throws a head kick but Zetsu moves out of range.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Zetsu scores with a nice hook to the head. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Zetsu wants to break free but Neely has control.

Jack Neely's cut is getting worse. Zetsu is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Neely managing to block the knees to the body from Zetsu.

I was talking to Neely's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Neely misses with a body punch.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Zetsu prevents a body shot from Neely. Zetsu throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Neely blocks it with crossed arms. Neely wants to take the fight to the mat but Zetsu manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Zetsu landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Zetsu is trying to stall.

Neely wants the takedown. Zetsu is fighting it off but Neely persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Zetsu's guard against the cage. Neely throws a strike but Zetsu rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Neely wants to sweep but no luck. Neely controlling Zetsu's posture. Neely has momentary wrist control but Zetsu slips an elbow through the middle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Neely pulls Zetsu in close to prevent any damage. Neely lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Zetsu! Neely dominating with strikes here. Zetsu manages to regain half guard. Good work. Zetsu is staying active underneath Neely, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zetsu regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Neely. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Zetsu is on top in guard.

That kick from Neely tenderised Zetsu's leg. Zetsu is trying to keep his angry face on. Zetsu throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Zetsu is looking to clinch. Neely tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Zetsu was well out of range. Poor timing from Neely. Neely throws a nice head kick!
That has opened up Deidara Zetsu's cut even more. Neely throws a series of punches but Zetsu avoids them all with ease. Zetsu throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Zetsu tries to land a front kick but Neely steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Jack Neely is winning the standup battle so far. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Neely fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Zetsu sprawls well initially but Neely persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Neely wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zetsu keeps working. Neely throws a strike but Zetsu avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Neely with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Neely trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neely missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Our spies down at at Bruize Brothers inform us that Zetsu has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Neely postures up.

Deidara Zetsu has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Zetsu looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Zetsu tests Neely's chin there with a solid looking shot. A left and a right from Neely both land. Nice combination. Neely takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Neely swats away the attempt to clinch by Zetsu. Zetsu throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Deidara Zetsu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Neely darts in and clinches Zetsu up against the cage. Neely goes for a takedown in the clinch but Zetsu prevents it.

Zetsu displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Neely. Zetsu is looking to clinch but Neely is avoiding it.

That's better than Neely was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Neely looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Zetsu is avoiding damage well.
