The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Hawkes, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hawkes tries to bum rush Mabini with a series of wild strikes but Mabini uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hawkes feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Mabini's calf.
Mabini shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Hawkes gets a clinch.
Hawkes pushes Mabini back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Hawkes is leaning against Mabini and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
