Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jacob Turner! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pawel Pawlak! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pawlak tries for a takedown but Turner circles away easily and Turner counters with a lovely shot to the body. Pawlak with a lazy takedown attempt and Turner counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Pawlak gets the takedown into side control. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Pawlak trying to control the position but Turner is working away. Pawlak cracks Turner with a big elbow. Turner on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Turner is pushing Pawlak's head away, looking to escape. Pawlak manages to hold on to the position though. Pawlak tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pawlak has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Pawlak in side control, throwing shots but Turner defends. Pawlak has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Turner is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Turner wants to get back to his feet but Pawlak drags him back down. Pawlak misses with an attempted head punch from side control. You can see the frustration on Turner's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Pawlak lands an elbow. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pawlak trying to control the action but Turner is working from the bottom. Turner managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Pawlak.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Turner is being controlled here. The ground and pound from Pawlak seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Pawlak in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Turner is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
