Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lou Sanus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Palje (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanus comes to the cage accompanied by Shame on the Night. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lou Sanus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pete Palje!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Saam Ante.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanus avoids the head kick by Palje.
Palje tries to score with a low kick but Sanus moves his leg out of the way.
Palje throws a half hearted mid kick.
Palje throws a body kick that misses.
Palje misses with a body kick.
Palje pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Palje walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Sanus ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Palje moves away.
Palje lands with a slapping head kick.
Sanus avoids the head kick by Palje.
Palje throws a leg kick

and Sanus counters with a single leg into guard. Palje didn't expect that.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sanus wants to control from the top but Palje keeps moving.
Sanus is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sanus postures up in Palje's guard and throws a big left but Palje blocks it.
Palje avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Sanus missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Sanus looking to pass the guard.

Sanus drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sanus jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Palje is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sanus is controlling him.

Sanus has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sanus throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Sanus in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Palje is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sanus is controlling him.
Palje can't keep his opponent in guard - Sanus advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Sanus works his way into full mount!
Sanus thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Palje squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Sanus looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sanus lands a couple of good shots and Palje has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Sanus is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Palje with him. Palje is trying to defend but Sanus has an arm under the chin now! Palje grimaces and is forced to tap out!
