Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kim Chee! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Micheal London! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chee scores with a leg kick.
Chee looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Chee lands a body shot.
London doesn't succeed with the takedown and Chee counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. London takes one to the chin there. Both fighters circling a little - Chee finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Chee ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Chee jabs at London's body. London shoots in for a takedown but Chee shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. London shoots for a takedown but Chee saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Kim Chee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Micheal London. London has his takedown stuffed and Chee counters with a leg kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Chee ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chee darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Chee scores with a jab to the body. Chee connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. London doesn't succeed with the takedown and Chee counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Chee is looking to clinch but London is avoiding it.
Chee connects with a solid leg kick. Chee lands with a nice body punch. Chee scores with a nice head shot. Chee takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
London is rocked! Chee misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from London.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chee lands a straight punch to the body, keeping London at a distance.
Chee is looking to wear down London with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Chee dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Chee lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Chee scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. London swats away the attempt to clinch by Chee. Chee fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. London looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Chee feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to London's calf. London shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Chee but Chee pushes him off and we're back to square one. A solid leg kick lands there for Chee.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chee dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Chee lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. No luck for London with that takedown attempt. Chee lands a jab to London's midsection. Nice body kick from Chee. Chee thuds a left hand into London's body. London gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Chee. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! London crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Chee - the referee stops the clock and London gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Chee. London manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. London misses with a takedown and Chee counters with a left to the body. London looks winded!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chee keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
London is still on wobbly legs! Can Chee finish him? Chee is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Chee gets a clinch. London seems to have recovered his senses. Chee lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Chee lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Chee blocks an elbow strike. Chee is leaning against London and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Nice body punch from Chee. London's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. A body shot lands from Chee.
Chee lands an uppercut. Chee is pushing London up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. London misses with the head strike.
Chee manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. London takes a decent strike to the side of the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kim Chee dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Chee ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Chee buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
The fighters circle momentarily. Chee darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. London misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Chee dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Chee scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Chee lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. London drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Chee dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Chee moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. London fails with the takedown. London sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. London has a takedown stuffed. Kim Chee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Micheal London. Chee jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Chee lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Chee lands a jab to London's midsection. London is trying desperately to land a takedown but Chee is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for London. London is breathing heavily. Chee throws a shot to the body.
Chee steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! London is out on his feet! Chee sets himself and nearly takes London's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
