Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roddy Piper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Piper's entrance music is Green Hills of Tyrol. A fine choice. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roddy Piper! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fred Anderson! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Piper feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Anderson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Piper is looking to work some ground and pound but Anderson has wrist control. Anderson wants to stand up but Piper is controlling him. Piper throwing strikes but missing. Piper throws a big elbow that misses. Anderson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Piper. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Piper throws a big right hand that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Piper in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Piper has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Anderson being controlled here, momentarily. Piper seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Anderson for as long as he can get away with.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson wants to clinch and Piper counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Piper. Piper with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Anderson wants to stand up but Piper is controlling him. Piper sitting in guard, not really doing much. Anderson working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Piper.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Piper keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Anderson's head. Piper throwing strikes but missing. Piper passes into half guard. Piper is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Piper connects with a nice short shot to Anderson's temple. Piper keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Piper looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Piper is pressing down on Anderson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Anderson is holding on for now. Piper is nestled in close to Anderson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Piper missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Anderson looks like he's trying to stand up.
Piper drops an elbow to the side of Anderson's head. Piper is pressing down on Anderson's thigh, looking to free his foot. Anderson is holding on for now. Piper drops an elbow to the side of Anderson's head. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Piper lands a nice short elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Piper uses his free foot to push down on Anderson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Anderson. Piper connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
We've been hearing that Piper has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Anderson trying desperately to get to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Piper is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Anderson can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Piper has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Anderson's face.
Piper landing strikes from the mount and Anderson is in trouble! Piper working Anderson over with strikes here. Piper with shots to the head and body - Anderson looks very uncomfortable down there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roddy Piper dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Piper thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Piper working over Anderson with some ground and pound. Anderson looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Piper throwing shots but Anderson is blocking nicely. Piper slips a nice elbow through Anderson's hands, connecting with Anderson's forehead. Piper thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Anderson's head. Piper moves into full mount! Anderson won't be happy about that! Piper is landing with some decent strikes but Anderson is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Piper landing strikes from the mount. Piper raining down hammerfists from mount. Piper with the ground and pound from mount. Anderson is rocked! Piper looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Anderson is still in real trouble! Can Piper finish him? Piper pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Anderson takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Piper's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roddy Piper! Roddy Piper decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
