Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tormentus Borealis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samryn Redflame (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Tormentus Borealis has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tormentus Borealis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Samryn Redflame!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Borealis gets caught flat footed, as Redflame shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Redflame is pushing down on Borealis's leg trying to pass to half guard. Borealis is fighting to maintain full guard but Redflame has managed to sneak the leg through.
Redflame controlling the pace.
Redflame trying to mount his opponent but Borealis defends it.
Borealis is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Redflame seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Borealis does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Borealis wants to control but Redflame is keeping busy.

Redflame is trying to work for a kimura but Borealis is defending well.

Borealis is trying to stand back up but Redflame is controlling him
Borealis is looking for a sweep. Redflame is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Borealis gets a takedown into half guard.

Borealis wants to work for an arm triangle but Redflame is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Borealis is breathing heavily.

Borealis is stalling here. Redflame is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Borealis seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Redflame has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Redflame has control of an arm but Borealis manages to advance to Redflame's back!
Borealis is really stuck here.
Borealis trying to control the hands but Redflame won't let him.
Redflame is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Redflame doesn't have the hooks in and Borealis manages to turn into his guard.
Borealis trying to control but Redflame is working from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Borealis changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Redflame looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Borealis cracks Redflame with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Borealis decides to stand up, so the ref orders Redflame to his feet.

Borealis moves into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tormentus Borealis will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Redflame tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Borealis counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Redflame is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Borealis tries to free his leg and advance position but Redflame is retaining full guard.
Borealis trying to control the position from guard on top but Redflame is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Borealis landing with the ground and pound.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Borealis is pushing down on Redflame's leg trying to pass to half guard. Redflame is fighting to maintain full guard but Borealis has managed to sneak the leg through.

Borealis is looking to take a break and control but Redflame is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Redflame is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Borealis is thwarting Redflame's attempts to control the position.
Borealis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Redflame on the ground.
Borealis passes to side control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Borealis is looking to take a break and control but Redflame is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Borealis tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Redflame is looking to reverse the position.

Borealis slows the pace down.

Borealis decides to stand back up. Borealis steps back and let's Redflame get back to his feet.

Borealis closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Redflame to the mat! Redflame manages to get full guard.
Borealis is looking to stand up but Redflame won't let him.

Redflame throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Redflame looking to hit a scissor sweep but Borealis is one step ahead there.

Borealis gets to his feet - Redflame follows without any prompting.
Redflame takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Redflame tries to keep at a distance but Borealis has taken the fight into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tormentus Borealis dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Redflame closes the distance but Borealis moves to the side

and Borealis holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Borealis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Tormentus Borealis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Redflame clinches but Borealis breaks the clinch

and Borealis counters with a single leg into guard. Redflame didn't expect that.

Borealis has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Redflame to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Borealis is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Redflame pulls down on the head and he's put Borealis to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Samryn Redflame!
