The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zahovic fails to land with a series of punches.
Zahovic swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Zahovic lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Zumo at a distance.
Zumo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Zahovic punishes Zumo's body with a nice straight punch.
Zahovic cracks Zumo with an open hand slap.
Zumo steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Zahovic.
Zumo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Zahovic throws out the jab.
Zumo fails with the takedown
letting Zahovic counter with a right hand.
Zumo slips under a jab.
A telegraphed right hand from Zahovic misses the target.
Zumo keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Zahovic.
Zahovic moves in looking to clinch but Zumo pushes him off.

Zumo takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Zlatko Zahovic is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Zumo gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Zahovic throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Zlatko Zahovic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zahovic connects with a good right hand that stumbles Zumo. Zumo circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Zahovic misses with a two punch combination.

Zumo throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Zahovic was covering up waiting for the punch and Zumo finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Zumo content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Zumo stands up over Zahovic, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Zumo loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Zumo postures up in Zahovic's guard and throws a big left but Zahovic blocks it.

Zumo trying to control but Zahovic is working from the bottom.
Zahovic is trying to control the position but Zumo postures up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Zumo accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Zumo wants to pass the guard but Zahovic is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Zumo keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Zahovic's head.
Zumo loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Zahovic keeping moving, preventing Zumo from controlling successfully.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Zahovic tries to bum rush Zumo with a series of wild strikes but Zumo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Zahovic fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Zahovic connects with a right hand. Zumo shakes it off.
Zahovic lands an overhand right.
Zumo has a takedown stuffed.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeff Zumo. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Zahovic lands a left and a right that sends Zumo crashing to the canvas! Zahovic dives into mount looking to finish!

Zumo is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Zahovic unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Zumo wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Zahovic celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

A relieved looking Zlatko Zahovic thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
