The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hartlock drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Hartlock got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gajtkowski has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hartlock has managed to get both his arms back between Gajtkowski's legs - danger averted.
Hartlock is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Gajtkowski looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hartlock is one step ahead there.
Hartlock keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Gajtkowski's head.
Gajtkowski wants to stand and escape but Hartlock is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gajtkowski tries to escape back to his feet but Hartlock has kept hold of him... Oh, now he's got Gajtkowski's back and is looking for the choke... Is it? Is it sunk in? YES! Gajtkowski is tapping! Hartlock saw the opportunity and took it - ruthless!
