Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rigoberto Lamas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dalton McConnel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lamas's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Brazilian National Anthem. Dalton McConnel will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McConnel throws a body shot but no joy.
McConnel dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Lamas takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
A slow jab from Lamas misses its intended target.
Lamas shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Lamas is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
McConnel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lamas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lamas trying to pass the guard but McConnel defending well.

Lamas slows the pace down in half guard.
Lamas is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, McConnel has managed to free his arm - good work.
McConnel is looking to improve his position.
Lamas content to control rather than advance.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Lamas is looking to advance position but McConnel won't allow it.
Lamas is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
McConnel trying to control but Lamas postures up.

Lamas is taking a breather. McConnel says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Lamas in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. McConnel tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Lamas!

A less than humble Rigoberto Lamas misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
