2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Witold Kotlecinski! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Wagner Zegers and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Phillips tries to close the distance and clinch but Kotlecinski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Phillips misses with a takedown attempt and Kotlecinski counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Good exchange - Phillips coming out on top. Kotlecinski lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kotlecinski.
It looks like Trevor Phillips has been cut. Sloppy strikes from Phillips. Those never looked like landing. Kotlecinski misses with a few strikes there.
Kotlecinski has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Kotlecinski fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Phillips manages to avoid it. Trevor Phillips seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kotlecinski throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Phillips. Phillips looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Phillips tries to clinch and Kotlecinski counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
