Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Foster Nolan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Cuevas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Foster Nolan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fred Cuevas! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Hirohito Nitta and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cuevas moves in looking to clinch but Nolan pushes him off. Cuevas closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nolan circles away. A solid body kick from Cuevas. Cuevas swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Nolan counters by clinching up. Nolan is trying to break the clinch but Cuevas is controlling him. Nolan misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Cuevas.
Nolan tries to pull guard but Cuevas forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Cuevas gets a trip takedown into half guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Cuevas tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Nolan actively working from the bottom here. Cuevas landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cuevas prevents Nolan from standing back up.
Cuevas is looking to stall here but Nolan recovers full guard. Cuevas looking to sit in guard and control but Nolan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Cuevas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nolan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nolan sitting in guard here, content to control. Nolan is standing up over Cuevas. Cuevas looks to escape but Nolan dives into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Nolan wants to control but Cuevas is keeping him busy. Nolan tries to score with some ground and pound. Cuevas controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Cuevas looks to move to half guard but instead Nolan has passed into mount! Damn! Nolan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Nolan punching from mount but Cuevas doing a good job of avoiding damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nolan controlling the pace for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Cuevas is in a horrible position here. Nolan smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Cuevas is squirming around, avoiding Nolan's attempts to control the action.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nolan controlling the position easily from mount. Cuevas is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Foster Nolan will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Nolan moves out of range of the strikes. Cuevas circles away from the clinch attempt and Cuevas counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Cuevas. Nolan looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cuevas can't get the takedown.

That's one minute gone in the round. Nolan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Nolan trying to keep a closed guard but Cuevas is proving a slippery customer.
Foster Nolan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Nolan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cuevas defends well. Nolan striking from the bottom.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nolan thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Nolan preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Cuevas looking to pass the guard. Cuevas stops Nolan from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cuevas trying to control but Nolan is working from the bottom. Cuevas preventing the sweep. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Nolan is on top in guard.
Cuevas is looking to sweep but instead, Nolan has passed into half guard.
Nolan stops Cuevas from getting back to his feet.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cuevas can do anything to dispel that myth. Nolan thows a huge punch but Cuevas dodges it nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nolan content to control rather than advance.
Fred Cuevas has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Cuevas looks to throw the jab but Nolan is out of range. Cuevas feints and then cracks Nolan's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Nolan down. Fred Cuevas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cuevas is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nolan. Cuevas doesn't succeed with the takedown and Nolan counters with a left to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cuevas throws a right and a left that both miss. Cuevas throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Nolan holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Cuevas misses with the head strike.
Cuevas breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Fred Cuevas is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nolan avoids the head kick by Cuevas.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cuevas misses with a jab, cross combination.
Cuevas looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nolan is fending him off so far but Cuevas persists. Nope, Nolan circles away and we're back to standing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Foster Nolan will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
Cuevas looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Nolan tries to clinch up. Cuevas fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Nolan takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Nolan tries to clinch but fails miserably and Cuevas counters with a big head kick but Nolan shrugs it off. Cuevas misses with a double jab.

That's one minute gone in the round. Nolan wants to clinch but Cuevas slips to the side and Cuevas counters with a slapping leg kick. Nolan slips a jab and a cross from Cuevas.
Nice sprawl there from Nolan as Cuevas shoots in. Cuevas misses with a two punch combination.
Cuevas rushes Nolan and presses him up against the cage. Cuevas has Nolan pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Nolan manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Foster Nolan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fred Cuevas. Cuevas takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Cuevas can't get the takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nolan jumps guard but Cuevas turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Cuevas with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Nolan changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Cuevas fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Foster Nolan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nolan has closed the distance and engaged Cuevas in a clinch.

Nolan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Nolan moves to clinch but Cuevas breaks away and Cuevas counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cuevas. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nolan keeping moving, preventing Cuevas from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nolan wants to sweep here but Cuevas controlling him for the moment. Cuevas slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Nolan working for a triangle but Cuevas defends it easily.
Cuevas lands a couple of digs. Nolan looking for a triangle here. Cuevas is fighting it but it looks tight! Nolan pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Cuevas is tapping out - this one is all over!
